Understanding the opportunity
This international premium retailer was looking to revive and enhance the guest experience at their staff Christmas party. With a diverse, fashionable and predominantly millennial workforce, the brief was to ensure that the entertainment added real value to the party-goers.

With 1300 guests to consider, we worked closely with the in-house events team to craft experiences to complement their magical ‘Fantastica’ theme to surprise and delight. Taking the concept and weaving opportunities for guest interaction, from early arrivals for solo guests to group enjoyment was on the agenda to heighten the experience and introduce a stylish feeling of reward for the staff.
The perfect solution
Starting with guest arrivals, the polished welcome team of hosts and registration staff scanned invitations and applied wristbands to move guests efficiently through into the sparkling reception. Magicians and fortune-tellers encouraged guests to mix and mingle with palmistry delighting with new fortunes being told and jaw-dropping close-up magic. A pop-up winter wonderland photo parlour proved extremely popular as groups of guests gathered to dress up from the accessories wardrobe and strike a pose for the photographer to capture the moment. After dinner, the all-important live entertainment began with our 7-piece covers band featuring talented hand-picked musicians who regularly tour with A-listed artists. With male and female vocalists playing a set list of covers from the 1970’s through to the current day across a range of genres, the band rocked the dancefloor for the entire evening.
Evaluating the Impact
With a seamless guest experience and delightful reactions from guests on the evening, the quality of the entertainment gave a clear signal to staff for the level of appreciation from their retail employer.
