Understanding the opportunity
With a growing portfolio of clients, this global property services business wanted to inject some cerebral and physical creativity into their annual conference to challenge their employees and encourage collaborative thinking. The two-day event objectives were to cement a new set of internal values with a ‘one team’ motto to its 200 strong professional team.
BE Vivid Thinking
The event needed a different location, a different approach and a different response. The aim was to curate an inclusive approach across every aspect of the two days with the employer values of ‘one team’ woven into the fabric of the event.
The perfect solution
Sourcing a location that acted as a retreat was a priority along with an providing an opportunity for escapism outside of the city. Brighton was selected for its seaside location with its vibrant, bohemian attitudes, coupled with the calmness of the beaches and fresh air. Plenary was set up cabaret style with a simple forward projection stage and a mix of lectern presentations, panel talks and lots of Q&A interaction with the audience. Activities included early morning yoga, learning about coffee and making/grinding their own beans, ‘the big picture’ group activity where everyone paired off to draw and colour in their piece of the jigsaw for a giant piece of wall-art. The evening was a relaxed affair with air hockey, table football, casual dining, a band and karaoke.
Evaluating the Impact
With plenty of opportunities for involvement and interaction, the management team had a fulfilling couple of days and returned to the office revived with new relationships formed and plenty of ideas for their own input towards the company’s bigger picture vision.
