Understanding the opportunity
For an international law firm, the post-merger climate didn’t feel like an appropriate time for a Christmas party, as the business was still getting to grips with the challenges of aligning two distinct cultures.
BE Vivid Thinking
Our experience in the power of celebratory moments, enabled us to convince our clients that, in fact, a Christmas party offered an informal opportunity for people to come together and discover their common traits. By selecting a prestigious, but neutral space, we could project confidence in the future, and ensure that no-one felt the one part of the business was being prioritised over the other.
The perfect solution
Hosted in the prestigious Sheraton Park Lane hotel, this unforgettable event saw over 750 revellers enjoying one of the most celebrated Art Deco interiors in Mayfair. Embellishing the venue’s beautiful original features in gold and pink, we added a number of visual accents using floral arrangements and candles, right through to our stage design.
After a lavish champagne drinks reception in the main ballroom, a delicious array of bowl food was served, including roast turkey, sage and onion sliders; mozzarella, sun blushed tomato and pesto tarts; sweet roasted pumpkin with baby spinach, pear, pomegranate seeds and crumbled cashel blue; and oriental glazed Welsh sea bass and coconut rice.
The evening’s entertainment began with an exclusive performance by The Leo Green Experience, fronted by the internationally-renowned saxophonist, writer and BBC Radio 2 host. Things then went up a gear, as a live DJ took over with a compelling set of funk and soul classics.
Evaluating the Impact
By striking the right celebratory tone, and selecting a venue of prestige and status, we were able to project the kind of confidence and connectivity that meant that, by the end of the evening, the whole company felt like one unified business.
