Understanding the opportunity
We worked as consultants for our sister companies, ‘Sport and Fitness Show’ and ‘The Brighton and Hove Triathlon’ to focus on pairing together clients with sporting experiences and content, to help create an event that engaged all the senses.
BE Vivid thinking
In the essence of team spirit, we recognised the opportunity to connect brands with the event, in the role of sponsors in support of the local and wider community as well as the competing triathletes. Also providing a platform to raise awareness and encourage active participation in sport and fitness.
The perfect solution
The event connected to the audience through activations, exhibitors, nutrition, technology and the environment. Perfectly located on Brighton and Hove seafront, the sun shone down on fitness fanatics, families with children, and intrigued visitors as they wandered through engaging activities. The brave swung from the high-ropes of climbing walls, the adventurous tackled assault courses and Segway adventures, the competitive jumped into friendly matches of netball, football, rugby and even Quidditch, the mindful became zen-masters in the yoga tent and those who needed to cool off on the real-snow ski and snowboard slope. By getting local news outlets and radio stations involved, crowds rallied together to cheer over the 1000 entrants across the Triathlon finish line. Further extending the reach of the event, we utilised social media to speak to a wider audience.
Evaluating the impact
By converging all these activations together, we were able to assist in creating a bigger noise that attracted 22,000 visitors and 1,000 competitors from across the world. Now a firm fixture in the City’s annual event calendar and a repeat booking for 2017 with a tripled-in-size event space.
