Understanding the opportunity
With a new London-based CEO to introduce to the world, this international financial business was keen to make a bold statement about its brand, history and tradition, as well as re-affirming its reputation for knowledge, insight and industry-leading expertise.
BE Vivid Thinking
Expertise is a tricky thing to get right, since too much emphasis on expertise can seem cold and impersonal. Instead, we felt that our client needed to demonstrate an ongoing hunger for knowledge, and a willingness to share that with their clients and prospects. By selecting the iconic Natural History Museum, we were able to engage the imagination, as well as the intellect of our guests, while also establishing a sense of status and heritage from this one-of-a-kind venue.
The perfect solution
450 invited guests soaked up the spectacular historical ambiance of Britain’s most recognisable museum, made extra with the addition of ambient up-lighting in red and gold. This distinctive colour treatment was accented in floral displays exclusively designed and created by royal florist Simon Lycett. Giant sculptural spheres of red carnations added a contemporary twist, and helped to create a sense of impact and scale within this cavernous space. An acclaimed all-female octet added to the atmosphere with a selection played on the violin, viola and cello.
Following a champagne reception, guests sampled a diverse menu of mouth-watering dishes that included ham hock and guinea fowl terrine, duck wonton with duck consommé, fillet steak béarnaise and scallops wrapped in pancetta and lemon beurre blanc.
Evaluating the Impact
The single greatest sign of the evening’s success, was the decision to make this an annual event, since when it has become a must-attend function for clients and prospects.
